Grace Lee

Grace Lee is a member of the BC Registered Music Teacher Association, and is a registered Royal Conservatory of Music piano teacher with over ten years of experience teaching private lessons and group music classes to students of all ages and levels.

She studied Colour Keys pedagogy under Heidi Saario, an International Colour Keys Trainer from Finland. Grace received her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance at the University of British Columbia under the tutelage of Dr. Corey Hamm, and studied piano pedagogy under UBC’s pedagogy professor, Alice Enns.

Grace loves being creative in her teachings; other than working on a strong technical foundation, she emphasises the fun and musical aspects in her students’ playing. She strongly believes that the Colour Keys curriculum develops children’s musicality, creativity, and most importantly instills a life-long love of music. Grace’s students have consistently received first place awards and high honors for outstanding performances in music festivals, and first class honors with distinction in RCM examinations.

Grace has undertaken training in Colourstrings early years music with international Colourstrings trainer Yvonne Wyroslawska in Vancouver in 2015. Grace also teaches early music & movement her at 8th ave.

In addition to teaching, Grace is an active committee member of the RMTA South Fraser Piano Festival.
