Natalie W

Natalie Wu cultivated a genuine love for music from a young age. She has played classical piano for more than 20 years, taught music for more than 5 years, and has experience playing as a church accompanist.

As well, Natalie has also played the violin and flute. In her spare time, she enjoys improvising, composing, and recording piano pieces. Natalie is a registered teacher with the Royal Conservatory of Music and holds the ARCT elementary pedagogy certificate.

She has studied piano pedagogy with Prudence Leung and has also received ColourKeys pedagogy training with Heidi Saario, an International Colour Keys Trainer from Finland, working closely with Laura Hasthorpe here at Colourstrings.

Additionally, Natalie has previously worked as an English teacher to children from rural communities in Taiwan, which has developed her passion for education. She hopes to make the world a more beautiful place as she shares her knowledge on how to make good music.

Currently, she studies piano with Professor Miranda Wong at the University of British Columbia and is a candidate for both the Bachelor of Education and the Bachelor of Music.
