Teacher Ailbhe

Ailbhe (pronounced “Elva”)

Ailbhe Smyth has been assisting and teaching Colourstrings music classes since 2013, and has undertaken training in Colourstrings early years music with international Colourstrings trainer Yvonne Wyroslawska from 2014 to 2015.

She is a mother of three (all of whom are involved in the Colourstrings program), and a professional violinist who studied her craft here in Vancouver, at the University of Western Ontario, and at the Royal Academy of Music, London.




As soon as she participated in the first term of a Colourstrings baby class with her daughter, she realized what a unique and valuable method it was.

She appreciates both the incredible musical education it provides children from the very beginning, and the understanding and appreciation of child development that is at the heart of the method.
